Kasi then began creating and designing custom wood pieces including wood spoons, key chains, coasters, ornaments, cutting boards and more. One night while building a model for his University of Minnesota Architecture class, Ben thought it might be interesting to stick a wooden adhesive to his iPhone. Cindy has Wood from the Hood home products like cribbage and cutting boards in over 40 local retail stores, has an active online presence and a Custom Sales Manager selling custom woodworking. Wood from the Hood works with several tree companies and the Minneapolis Park Board to reclaim the urban forest. They mill and dry the main trunks into usable lumber for retail products, slab lumber sales, and custom wood working \u0026amp; commercial architectural projects that include clients like Caribou Coffee, Summit Brewery and Milton’s restaurant. Loved by many, the company has come a long way from just an idea tossed around in the Siewert household.
