About Anushka
Anushka Lall is the proud founder and owner of Chalo Cookup LLC, an Indo-Guyanese woman owned food pop-up business. Chalo Cookup LLC started out as a food blog more popularly known as CookingwAnushka back in 2020.

CookingwAnushka videos started out as fun ways to showcase Anushka’s Indo-Guyanese heritage as well as trying new cuisines. In 2021, Anushka’s cousin and her sat down contemplating the next step for CookingwAnushka’s passion for sharing Indo-Guyanese cultural food, they both came to the conclusion, why not share it as a mobile food business? From there, Chalo Cookup was formed. “Chalo” means “let’s go” in Hindi and “cookup” is derived from “cookup rice,” a classic Guyanese rice and beans dish traditional to Latin America and the Caribbeans. Chalo Cookup showcases east Indian and west Indian cuisine and it also brings together so much more -- the Twin Cities community. We will be accessible, affordable, and community driven.

As a graduate from the University of Minnesota in Urban Studies and formally, Asian Languages and Literature, Anushka has taken her skills in her courses to apply to her business model. Chalo Cookup’s ultimate goal is to become a brick and mortar and to provide an internship program for young people 18-24 on ways to get into the entrepreneurial world.

When Anushka is not working, you can find her dancing, singing, reading, trying new beers, playing board games, taking her dog on walks/playing fetch, and of course, COOKING!
