About Alexandra
During her time at the U of M, Zan Starr was involved in many extracurricular activities, including serving as social chairman at her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, as a new student weekend leader, in Rho Alpha, and reading to children at Lucy Laney. Zan also studied abroad in Singapore during her senior year and started full time at Ernst & Young following her graduation in the middle of the tax season in January 2009. She has been with Ernst & Young for 14 years and started Mess Hall as a passion project. Today Mess Hall, which offers art experiences and messy activities for all ages that you don’t want to do at home, has 20 employees and is looking to expand to other areas in Minnesota. Experiences include learning various art tools and techniques for adults to weekend art programs for kids.
