The novel is based on the actual war diaries of Lt. Samuel Benjamin who became one of America’s original elite soldiers. Lt. Benjamin was first a Minuteman at Lexington and Concord and later fought in some of the era’s most famous battles. He’s the author of a critically acclaimed new narrative nonfiction novel, Dear T.L., A Love Story of the American Revolution, a recording music artist and songwriter. Sater is also a descendent of a Mayflower passenger and three Revolutionary War soldiers. He’s a member of the National Society Sons of the American Revolution, The Society of the Cincinnati, and the General Society of Mayflower Descendents, and serves as the Color Guard Commander of the Minnesota Society Sons of the American Revolution. He is also a Silver Circle Honoree of the National Academy of Television Arts \u0026amp;amp; Sciences.
