About SkoobLevart, Inc. - Anti-Pickpocket Bags
Defeating pickpockets, by design! We make cute and fashionable crossbody bags that are designed to send pickpockets home without supper. They have several layers of defenses to prevent pickpocketing and purse snatching.  We also make RFID blocking sleeves to protect against electronic theft of personal data and ID from phones, passport chips, and credit card chips.

You look good. We have your back. The pickpocket seeks a new line of work. All is right with the world.

About Jeff
Jeff received his Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of Minnesota in 1991, and prior to that receive BS and MS degrees in Forestry from the University of Montana.

Jeff is co-owner of SkoobLevart, with his wife Carol, making and selling anti-pickpocket travel accessories. How did they get into making anti-theft bags?  Because they were pickpocketed, of course.  Jeff was the victim.  Location was Denmark, where you wouldn't necessarily expect to find pickpockets, but there they were.  Jeff was watching luggage in the train station while the rest of the family went to a shop for a few minutes.  He had cash in his front pants pocket, which was zipped.  He took out a little cash to give to his kids, which alerted the pickpockets, put the rest of the money back and zipped the pocket.  A few minutes later, he found that someone had snuck up behind him, unzipped his front pants pocket, extracted the cash, and then slithered away undetected.  And during this entire time, he was aware he was at risk.  The lesson ... if a pickpocket locks in on you, your money is as good as gone.  So, let's make bags that break that rule, in part by making the barriers obvious, and preventing thieves from trying to snatch your belongings, or your bag, in the first place!  An ounce of prevention ...

In addition to designing products for SkoobLevart, Jeff is an author of many of SkoobLevart's blog posts about hidden gems found on their travels.  He also runs a consulting company called Bird Dog Innovation Strategies, which helps high tech entrepreneurs with commercialization planning.

Jeff, Carol (SkoobLevart's Nice President), and the company are currently based in Montana, and all their products are made in the USA.
