About Rickey
Rickey has always been passionate about the environment. He was born in Northern MN on the Iron Range and moved to the Twin Cities for college. At the U of M, he became the director of operations of the Solar Vehicle Project, a team that builds electric cars that run off of solar power. He raced these cars in 3 world-wide races, twice in Australia in the World Solar Challenge. Each time earning top-five spots in the world-wide competitions. Rickey became aware of solar installation after an internship at a company called TruNorth Solar where he worked for two years as a solar installer. Rickey is now a NABCEP certified professional PV solar installer and is looking to accelerate the growing trend of residential solar to help combat the climate crisis.
